“WHAT THINK YE OF CHRIST?”

Introduction: There is Several Bible passages record moments when people were curious or questioning who Jesus was.
Here are some key examples: Luke 5:21 Religious leaders were puzzled by Jesus’ authority to forgive sins. Luke 7:49 The healed woman’s friends were amazed at His power. Luke 8:25 The disciples were astonished by His control over nature. Luke 9:9 Herod was intrigued and trying to see Him. Luke 9:20 Jesus asked His disciples directly about their understanding of His identity. Matthew 16:13-16 He sought to know the public’s perception of Him. Matthew 21:10 The crowd was curious about His identity as He entered the city. Mark 4:41 The disciples were amazed by His authority over the storm. John 8:25 The Jews questioned His claim to be the Messiah. These verses show that throughout His ministry, Jesus was met with curiosity, skepticism, and awe from different people — from crowds to religious leaders — all wondering who He truly was. The title of our message is “What Think Ye of Christ?”

II. JESUS RECEIVES THE ADORATION OF GOD

III. JESUS GIVES AN ADMISSION THAT HE IS GOD. John 8:56-59, Exodus 3:14. “The self-existent One, the One who never had a beginning, the One who never had an ending.” John 14:8-9
IV. JESUS CARRIES OUT THE ACTIVITY THAT SHOWS HIMSELF TO BE GOD.
A. The Creator of All Things Is Jesus! John 1:3, Colossians 1:16
B. The Sustainer of All Things Is Jesus! Colossians 1:17 That word consist means they “hang together.” Jesus is the glue of the galaxy.
Hebrews 1:3, Psalm 19:1
C. The Giver of Eternal Life Is Jesus! John 1:4
D. The Answer to Our Prayers Is Jesus! John 14:14
Conclusion: Jesus comes to each of us in different ways, yet He always brings the same Gospel Message! John 14:6

To the artist He’s the One Altogether Lovely.
To the architect He’s the Chief Cornerstone.
To the baker He’s the Living Bread.
To the banker He’s the Hidden Treasure.
To the biologist He’s the Life.
To the builder He’s the Sure Foundation.
To the doctor He’s the Great Physician.
To the educator He’s the Great Teacher.
To the farmer He’s the Lord of the Harvest.
To the florist He’s the Rose of Sharon.
To the geologist He’s the Rock of Ages.
To the judge He’s the Righteous Judge.
To the jeweler He’s the Pearl of Great Price.
To the lawyer He is the Advocate.
To the publisher He is Good Tidings of Great Joy.
To the philosopher He is the Wisdom of God.
To the preacher He is the Word of God.
To the sculptor He is the Living Stone.
To the statesman He is the Desire of All Nations.
To the theologian He is the Author and Finisher of Our Faith.
To the traveler He is the New and Living Way.
To the sinner He is the Lamb of God that taketh away the sin of the world.
To the Christian He is forever the Son of the Living God, Savior, Redeemer, Lord, Everlasting Father, Mighty God, Prince of Peace.
