WALL BREAKING FAITH
Faith That Removes Obstacles to Your Blessings
Text: Hebrews 11:30 (Joshua 5 and 6)
I. THE WORSHIP OF FAITH Joshua 5:13-15
A.) THE ONE WE ARE TO WORSHIP
Joshua 5:13-15 Who was this man? Jesus! Hebrews 12:2
B.) WE MUST WORSHIP IN ORDER FOR FAITH TO GROW.
Joshua 5:14 “And he said, Nay;”
II. THE WORK OF FAITH Joshua 6:1-5
To some, this was a funny way to win a war, but they were just obeying God and taking God at His word! To obey is never foolish.
I Corinthians 1:18, I Corinthians 1:21
Example: Song: “Trust in Obey” The Bible is not so much a book that needs to be explained but rather believe!
III. THE WAIT OF FAITH Joshua 6:14-15
Why seven days? On the seventh day went around seven times! God was teaching them patience. Isaiah 28:16, Isaiah 30:18, Isaiah 40:31 There are some who are about to quit! True faith is marked by endurance. Hebrews 10:35-38
IV. THE WORD OF FAITH Joshua 6:2
“I Have” not I will but Have! God told Joshua already that He `hath already given him that city.
Joshua 6:15-16 “Hath” Here Joshua was just said.
A.) JOSHUA WAS SPEAKING A WORD OF FAITH. “Hath”, Romans 10:17
B.) WE HAVE A WORD OF FAITH TODAY. Hebrews 13:5-6 Faith is saying with boldness what God hath already said! I John 1:7, I John 1:9, Romans 10:13, Romans 10:9-10 Confession Leads to Procession Acts 2:41-42
V. THE WONDER OF FAITH Joshua 6:20
A.) GOD WORKS WONDERS TODAY BY FAITH.
We can know victory today, not by trying but by trusting and obeying They Obeyed the Word of God!
GOD WORKED HIS WONDERS WITH THE CHILDREN OF ISRAEL; AND AT THE SAME TIME, HE WORK HIS WRATH ON THE AMMONITES AND CANAANITES. Genesis 15:16, Leviticus 18:25The dam of God’s mercy gave way to the judgement of God’s wrath. Two Things took place that Day: Victory to those who believe and Judgement to those who believe not (Genesis 15:16, Leviticus 18:25)!
Conclusion: We can know victory today; not by trying, but by trusting and obeying. Faith sees the invisible; believes the incredible; and receives the impossible. Faith helps us walk fearlessly; run confidently; and live victoriously. Faith is not believing God can, but that God did! As we close, think on these three things:
1.) The greatest tragedy would be if you refused Jesus!
2.) The greatest transaction would be if you received Jesus!
3.) The greatest transformation would be if you will become a child of God by faith in Jesus Christ as your Lord and Saviour!
