(The Virtuous Woman)
Text: Proverbs 31:10-31
Introduction: Today’s message (Virtuous Reality) may seem to be directed to women; but I assure you God’s Word here is for men as well. Virtuous Reality = Virtuous People! Virtue Is the very next step in our Spiritual Growth after our step of Faith: II Peter 1:5–8 Good News: You can enjoy Virtuous Reality regardless of your past life. Jesus can change everything! Mary Magdalene had 7 Demons when Jesus found her. Note: What Jesus said about her: Mark 14:9 Verily I say unto you, wheresoever this gospel shall be preached throughout the whole world, this also that she hath done shall be spoken of for a memorial of her. Virtuous People are on the World’s Most Endangered Species List! Where are the Virtuous Men like Job: Job 1:8 And the Lord said unto Satan, Hast thou considered my servant Job, that there is none like him in the earth, a perfect and an upright man, one that feareth God, and escheweth evil? Where are the Euinces and Loises (Timothy’s Mother and Grandmother) who made sure Timothy knew God’s Word (II Timothy 1:5, 3:14-5)? Where are the Jochubed’s (Moses’ mother) who trained him in the ways of God in the midst of great Paganism, idolatry, and false teaching (Hebrews 11:23-27, Exodus 2:1-3, 2:8, 8:8-10)? Where are the Hannah’s who pray to God to get a child and afterwards give that child back to God (I Samuel 1:10-11, 2:26-28)? Where are the mothers of Zebedee’s children who wanted the best for her boys (Matthew 20:21 James and John)? We need Virtuous Men, Women, Fathers and Mothers who will be Selfless and not Selfish! Proverbs 31:10-31 sets forth a standard and goal for the ideal Virtous Woman, Wife, and Mother! Let us men learn with the women today what Virtuous Reality in our lives will do:
I. THE VIRTUOUS WOMAN HAS HER HUSBAND AS HER PRIORITY!
She is a:
A.) Precious Woman Proverbs 31:10
B.) Trustworthy Woman Proverbs 31:11
C.) Industrious Woman Proverbs 31:11
D.) Unconditionally Good Woman Proverbs 31:12
II. THE VIRTUOUS WOMAN HAS HER HOUSEHOLD AS HER CAREER!
She is a woman who is:
1.) Willing Proverbs 31:13
2.) Enterprising Proverbs 31:14
3.) Diligent Proverbs 31:15
4.) Business Minded Proverbs 31:16, Proverbs 31:24
5.) In Shape Proverbs 31:17
6.) Skillful Proverbs 31:18-19
7.) Selfless Proverbs 31:20
8.) Thrifty Proverbs 31:21-23
9.) Uplifting Proverbs 31:23
10.) Enduring Proverbs 31:25
11.) Optimistic Proverbs 31:25
12.) Wise Proverbs 31:26
13.) Kind Proverbs 31:26
14.) Thorough Proverbs 31:27
III.THE VIRTUOUS WOMAN HAS A REALIZATION OF HER REWARD!
A.) She is Blessed Proverbs 31:28
B.) She is Praised Proverbs 31:28, Proverbs 31:29
C.) She is Godly Proverbs 31:30
D.) She is Joyful Proverbs 31:31
E.) She is fulfilled Proverbs 31:31
Conclusion: Do you want a Virtuous Reality in your life? It starts with a personal relationship with Christ. Have you experience that? You cannot be a real Christian without a personal experience of Christ because a personal experience of Christ is Christianity.
