SNAP SHOTS INTO HEAVEN’S FUTURE THRONE ROOM

Text: Revelation 4:1-11, Introduction Revelation 4:1-2 Since the vision John is seeing is taking up in his spirit, not bodily, then this cannot be the rapturing of church, but at Rev. 7.9 right before the trumpets of the Tribulation are blown (Rev. 8). You don't see the lampstands in heaven either after Rev. 7.9 at first rapture (12.5, 14.1-5) or 11.15 at the final harvest (14.14-16). John is personally in his spirit only, being transported into the future throne room in Heaven. Notice the personal pronouns “I”, “me” and never we or us or the church. Don’t add to the Word of God here! Let scripture interpret scripture not man. These verses say John and him only was in heaven’s future throne room

C. The Four Beasts Revelation 4:6-9

The Four Living Creatures. Ezekiel 1:5-14 Who are these four living creatures, and what do they represent? Genesis 9:8-13 Let’s go back to our symbolism of numbers. Remember those categories of persons that God makes a covenant with. He makes a covenant with man.

1.) Revelation 4:7: "And the first beast was like a lion" —God made a covenant with a beast of the field. " 2.) Revelation 4:7 “the second beast like a calf”—God made a covenant with the cattle of the field. 3.) Revelation 4:7 third beast had a face as a man"—God made a covenant with Noah. 4.) Revelation 4:7 “the fourth beast was like a flying eagle”—God made a covenant with the fowl of the air. (Romans 8:21-22, Revelation 4:11, Colossians 1:16-20). I believe there's a secondary meaning here, too. Notice these four creatures: Did you know that there are four Gospels that tell us about the Lord Jesus Christ, and each of these four Gospels tells us something about the character of the Lord Jesus Christ?

1.) Gospel is Matthew — that's the Gospel of the lion, for the lion is the king of beasts, and it speaks of Jesus, the King.

2.) The second Gospel is the Gospel of Mark, and that's the Gospel of the ox, because Mark shows Jesus as the suffering servant, as the ox is the beast of burden and the beast of sacrifice.

3.) The third Gospel is the Gospel of Luke. And, the third beast has the face of a man, for Luke shows us the virgin birth of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ and how God was made a man.

4.) The fourth Gospel is the Gospel of the eagle; it is the Gospel of John. For the eagle is a heavenly bird, and John speaks of the heavenly origin of the Lord Jesus. "In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God" (John 1:1). We find symbolism piled upon symbolism, and symbolism piled upon symbolism: Psalm 150:6, Revelation 4:8-11
