JESUS’ PRAYS
John 17:1-26
Introduction: As we have journeyed through John’s majestic Gospel, we have encountered many glorious portraits of the Lord Jesus Christ. We have seen His heart of compassion on display as He healed the sick, we have seen His power revealed as He raised the dead and fed the hungry, we have seen His grace revealed as He saved the sinner. Every portrait that each chapter given to us has been an encouragement and a blessing and increasing our Faith!  This chapter is no exception! When we come to chapter 17, we find ourselves standing on holy ground. In these verses, the Holy Spirit of God gives us access into the Garden of Gethsemane as Jesus pours His heart out to His Heavenly Father.  Hebrews 3:1; 6:20 We Are Told To Pray in Jesus’ Name! What Kind of Prayer Did Jesus Pray?

Conclusion: Know this that Christ’s prayers are always heard and answered  —  John 11:41-42
The question that remains is are they being fulfilled in your life and in the life of this church? A quick review is in order.    Are you saved? It is His desire that you come to know Him.
2. Is there unity in the church? It is His desire that there be. Are we walking in love, one to the other as we should? That is His prayer for us.  Has the Lord touched areas of your life that need to be dealt with this morning? If so, then I beg you to come to Him and allow Him to have His way in your heart and life right now. Will you do as He would have you to?

How To Stop Repeating the Same Mistakes Over and Over Text: Matthew 26:31-35
I. NOTICE THREE REASONS WHY WE REPEAT THE SAME MISTAKES OVER AND OVER.
1.) Because We Are Prideful in Our Spirit Matthew 26:33
2.) Because We Are Stubborn and Hard-Headed in Our Soul Matthew 26:35
3.) Because We Are Weak in Our Flesh Matthew 26:41
II. NOTICE THREE WAYS  (IF ALL THREE ARE APPLIED) TO HELP US  STOP REPEATING THE SAME MISTAKES OVER AND OVER.
1.) Face The Truth.  Matthew 26:34, Luke 11:35, Isaiah 5:20, I Corinthians 10:12-13
2.) Face The Pattern. Matthew 26:74-75
3.) Face The Sorrow.  Matthew 26:75, II Corinthians 7:10
