JESUS IS?
Main Scripture Text: Hebrews 1:1–8
Introduction: Just who is Jesus Christ? And, as we read, we’re going to be answering this question: We will find out who Jesus Is! Answer it right and live by what you answer and all else will be right. Answer it wrong and all else will be wrong. Hebrews 1:1–8 There is none other like Jesus Christ. You cannot compare Jesus Christ to anyone else. No mortal man can with Him compare among the sons of men.
I. JESUS IS THE PROCLAIMED WORD OF GOD!
1:1–3 Jesus is? Who is Jesus? There are three things about Jesus that I want you to see today. Verses 1 thru 3, we see that Jesus is the Proclaimed Word of God.
Jesus Is the Prophesied Word of God. Hebrews 1:1
Jesus Is the Preached Word of God. Hebrews 1:2
Jesus Is the Physical Word of God.
Hebrews 1:3, John 14:9, John 1:1, John 1:14, Revelation 1:8
II. JESUS IS THE POWER IN THE WORKS OF GOD!
Everything that God does, Jesus does.
A. Jesus Is the Reason for Creation.
Hebrews 1:2, John 1:3, Colossians 1:16–17, Hebrews 1:2 “whom He hath appointed heir of all things.”
B. Jesus Is the Ruler of Creation.
Hebrews 1:3 “and upholding all things by the word of His power,”
C. Jesus Is the Redeemer of Creation.
Hebrews 1:3 “when He had by Himself purged our sins, sat down on the right hand of the Majesty on high;”
III. JESUS IS THE PERSON IN THE WORSHIP OF GOD!
Jesus deserves the worship of God. He is to be worshipped as God. Who is Jesus Christ? Jesus is God in human flesh. Why should we worship him? I give you three reasons:
A. Jesus’ Name Is Superior. Hebrews 1:4, Philippians 2:9–11
B. Jesus’ Nature Is Sacred. Hebrews1:5, Hebrews 1:6-7, Hebrews 1:7-8
The finite will never understand the infinite unless the infinite reveals Himself to the finite. Why do I worship Jesus?
Because of His superior name and because of His sacred nature.
C. Jesus’ Nobility Is Sovereign. Hebrews 1:8
He is a king. He was born a king. We didn’t vote Him in and we’re not going to vote Him out. Jesus is Lord.
Conclusion: Why don’t you say in your heart today, “All hail the power of Jesus’ name. Let angels prostrate fall.
I will bring a royal diadem. And, I will crown Him Lord of all. “The Bible says that, “God hath in these last days spoken unto us by His Son.” If you refuse God’s Son, God doesn’t have anything else to say to you. Jesus is God’s final word. When you’ve said Jesus, you’ve said it all.

1. By Self-Sacrifice Ephesians 5:2
2. By Self-Control Ephesians 5:3-7
B.) We Will Learn to Walk in Light HOW? Ephesians 5:8-14
1. By Discerning Evil Ephesians 5:10, Romans 12:1-2
2.By Exposing Evil Ephesians 5:11, I John 1:6
3.By Rejecting Evil Ephesians 5:12-14
C.) We Will Learn to Walk in Wisdom HOW?
1. By Planning the Work Carefully Ephesians 5:15
2. By Working the Plan Aggressively Ephesians 5:16
3.By Working His Plan with Priority Ephesians 5:17
III. GOD WILL FINALLY DOMINATE OUR LIVES
Ephesians 5:18-21
THE RESULT WILL BE:
A.) WE Will Demonstrate a Genuine Spirit Controlled Life Ephesians 5:18, Galatians 5:16
B.) We Will Demonstrate Genuine Joy Ephesians 5:19, John 15:11,
Habakkuk 3:17-19
C.) We Will Demonstrate Genuine Faith Ephesians 5:20
D.) We Will Demonstrate Genuine Humility Ephesians 5:21
