From Sinner to Saint!
Casting The First Stone?
John 8:1–11
Every Saint has a Past, and Every Sinner has a Future!

Her Shame
Sin is a shameful thing! No matter how skillfully it is hidden from the eyes of men, Jesus knows all about it and one day it will be revealed before all: Luke 12:3, Matthew 7:21 –23, Revelation 20:1–15
Her Sentence
Her accusers were correct! According to the Law, she deserved to die — Lev. 20:10; Deut. 22:22. There was one small problem here: Where was her partner? Both were supposed to die for this sin! The man may have been part of this scheme to attack Jesus. He may have been allowed to slip away. Nevertheless, this woman was guilty, and she deserved to die. Nobody gets away with sin! The penalty of sin always come due:
Romans 6:23, Ezekiel 18:4, John 14:6, Hebrews 2:3,Luke 7:34, Luke 15:2,Luke 19:7

A. The Plan
B. The Problem
1. Jesus Ignored Them John 8:6
What did Jesus write? Well, for 2,000 years, men have tried to solve that little mystery. Today, I am going to give you a deep theological answer: I don’t know! And, neither does anyone else! However, let me give you a little food for thought in this matter. Maybe He wrote:
a. The Ten Commandments.
After all, it was his finger that wrote them the first time!
b. Perhaps He wrote their names in fulfillment of: Jeremiah 17:13
c. Maybe He wrote out Leviticus 20:10, Deuteronomy 22:22
d. Maybe He simply wrote the names of their girlfriends in the sand.
2. Jesus Exposed Them John 8:7-9
III.
A COMPLETE SALVATION
A. Jesus Faced Her John 8:9-10
B. He Forgave Her John 8:11
Romans 10:9, Revelation 22:16, John 3:16, John 6:37, Romans 8:1, I Corinthians 6:9–11
C. He Freed Her She got A New Life Ephesians 2:1–3
II Corinthians 5:17, I Peter 1:23, Romans 6:14
Conclusion: John 3:18, Matthew 11:28,John 6:37

John 7 An Overview
John 7:1-53
This chapter is filled with controversy about Jesus Christ.
The actions of this chapter occur during the annual Jewish celebration of the Feast of Tabernacles. This feast was to commemorate the wilderness travels of the Israelites after they left Egypt. During this feast the Israelites were to make booths (generally out of tree branches) in which to stay for a time during the feast so they could be reminded of God’s care for the Israelites when they lived in tents during the travels in the wilderness.
John 7 may be divided into five major parts as follows:
1. The Involvement in the Feast (John 7:1–13)
2. The Instructing in the Temple (John 7:14–31)
3. The Ignobleness of the Leaders (John 7:32–36)
4. The Invitation of Christ (John 7:37–44)
5. The Informing by the Officers (John 7:45–53)
