FAITH THAT GETS HEAVEN TO FIGHT FOR YOU
Text: Hebrews 11:32 and Judges 5:20, Judges 5:6-8, Judges 4:1-9
I. THE INFALLIBLE SOURCE OF HIS FAITH
A.) The Source of All Faith Is the Word of God!
Judges 4:6, Romans 10:17
B.) Faith Is Hearing God’s Word and Acting Upon It. Barak heard, Barak believed, and Barak acted upon it. Remember, faith is belief with legs on it. Deborah had the faith, and Barak had the feet. Barak’s faith at first was weak, fearful, and little; however, he still is listed in God’s Hall of Faith Judges 4:8-9
C.) The Least Amount of Faith Is Greater Than the Greatest Amount of Difficulty. Matthew 17:20, Luke 17:6
D.) It Is Not Great Faith in God That You Need So Much, But Rather Faith in A Great God. It is not the quantity of our faith, and it is not the quality of faith, but it is the position of our faith that pleases God.
E.) Two Things That Helped Barak’s Faith.
1.) He heard the Word of God.
2.) He was associating with the people of God.
F.) Get with God’s People, And Get into God’s Word.
Feed Your Faith and Starve the Flesh.
H.) Faith Is Easier Caught Than Taught.
II. THE INCREDIBLE SUCCESS OF HIS FAITH Judges 4:10
A.) Sisera and His Mighty Army.
(900 chariots of iron) Sisera needed to read: Psalm 20:7
B.) The Hope for America Is Not in Its Weapons of Warfare, But Hope Is in The Lord Our God.
C.) What Happened to Sisera’s Mighty Army?
Judges 5:4-5, Judges 5:20-21 The rains came so much that the mountains melted, and rivers of water swept them away.
D.) What Happen to Sisera? Judges 4:17-23?????
This was a women’s war. Note: Judges 5:28-30 They wanted to take the women of Israel and God saw to it that a Woman named Deborah helped lead to the destruction of Sisera’s army. You know what Deborah said to Barak before the battle? Judges 4:9 Jael it rhymes with "nail."
III. THE INVINCIBLE STRENGTH OF HIS FAITH
Judges 5:20 Sisera lost way before he ever started to fight. Barak and Deborah had already won the battle before he ever drew his sword.
A.) The Whole Universe Is Against the Man Who Is Against God.
Sin cannot win - Faith cannot fail.
B.) Wisdom Is Finding What Direction God Is Going and Then Following Him.
C.) Many Great Empires Fail Because They Were Against God.
1. Roman Empire
2. Egyptian Empire in the days of Moses
3. Napoleon and his 500,000 dead army men outside of Moscow. Napoleon said before the battle: “God is on the side of the army with the heaviest battalion.” He was right, but he forgot to count the stars.
Psalm 8:3-4, Psalm 20:7
D.) You Just Can’t Win Against Heaven and The Stars. What is the invincible strength of his faith? God marshals the whole universe behind the man who believes in Him.
Conclusion:
1.) The infallible source of faith is the Word of God.
2.) The incredible success of faith is the victory that He gives.
3.) The invincible strength of faith is that God marshals the whole universe behind the man who believes in Him!
