A. The Son’s Realization Luke 15:17

A. He Found Reception Luke 15:20  And he arose, 1. Ran   2. Kissed

1. The Robe 

His Purity - Here stands the son in the rags of his sins.

2. The Ring 

His Privileges - After the robe came the ring. 

3. The Shoes 

His Position The father calls for shoes to be brought for the feet of his son. 

C. He Found Rejoicing Luke 15:23  

The fatted calf was kept for special occasions. 

Conclusion:    See the greatness of the father’s love: Herein is this father’s love:

1. A love that is parental - “His father saw him..”

2. A love that is quick-sighted - “He saw him a long way off.”

3. A love that is sympathetic - “He had compassion”

4. A Love that is eager to help - “He ran”

5. A love that yields it all - “He fell on his neck.”

 

6. A love that delights to forgive - “He kissed him”
