I. THERE IS A HOLY REVERENCE YOU MUST EXPRESS.  John 4:24  

David lost his holy reverence that he had for God. 

The result was as follows:

A.) Disobedience   II Samuel 6:1-10   (1-5), Exodus 25:12-15, I Samuel 6:1-8 (7-8)

B.) Death II Samuel 6:6-7, Numbers 4:15

C.) Displeasure  II Samuel 6:8

D.) Discouragement   II Samuel 6:9

E.) Defeat  II Samuel 6:9-11

II. THERE CAN BE A HAPPY RECOVERY YOU MAY ENJOY.

Keep in mind:     John 4:24  

A.) By Simple Obedience II Samuel 6:12, I Chronicles 15:1-3

B.) By A Sacrificial Spirit II Samuel 6:13

C.) By Sweet Joy II Samuel 6:14-15

III. THERE IS A WONDERFUL RESULT YOU CAN EXPERIENCE.

IV. THERE IS A HATEFUL RESISTANCE YOU CAN EXPECT.

A.) Michal’s Bad-Mouthing: 

Michal’s Dignity Was Offended By David’s Godly Actions.

B.) Michal’s Barrenness  II Samuel 6:23
